Amethyst Wesley Takes Legal Action After Filing Ethics Complaints and Claims City Officials Have Caused Damage

STATEMENT FROM AMETHYST WESLEY

I want to share something openly and clearly with the citizens of Washington.

I have officially filed a civil lawsuit in Superior Court regarding my experience while working under the City of Washington’s administration. This action was taken after months of dealing with inappropriate conduct, mishandled complaints, leaked documents, and situations that no contractor or employee should be placed in.

My goal is simple:

Transparency. Accountability. Protection.

I did not come to Washington to fight with city officials.

I came to do the job I was hired to do.

But when the environment became unsafe, unprofessional, and damaging to my work, I used the legal avenues available to me — just like any citizen has the right to do.

I am not discussing details publicly out of respect for the ongoing process, but I want the community to know:

I am standing up for myself, and I am standing up for what is right.
